Emails are currently winging their way to the successful applicants for 2017 entry,  inviting them to an enrolment morning on Tuesday 29th August. As well as filling in the relevant forms to be officially accepted as part of our very first cohort of students, the morning will involve a workshop with young professional actor Cal Newman, who has recently been touring the county with Jenny Wren Productions, playing a number of roles in their brilliant new adaptation of classic tale The Jungle Book. A darker, less familiar adaptation than the well-known Disney animation, Jenny Wren Productions’ version combined music, storytelling, puppetry and physical theatre to create a visual feast for the whole family. It was funny, touching and engaging throughout. Cal studied BTEC Extended Diploma with Stagedoor Director Jenny Cameron, completing the course with a triple Distinction*, and is taking a gap year before going to Drama School in London in 2018. We are really excited that he is going to be working with our new students.
